Location : Ubud, 3 Bedrooms
Located on the edge of the rice paddies with endless green rice field views Villa Uma near Ubud offers you the perfect opportunity for a relaxing stay.
A hidden gem Villa Uma is only 6 minutes drive from Monkey Forest road in the center of Ubud which means that the shops and restaurants are really close by.
Ubud has grown in recent years from a sleepy artist’s village into a bustling and vibrant community of local Balinese integrated with Expatriates from all over the world.
In addition to myriad collection of art shops Ubud now hosts some very up market boutiques, shops and restaurants and is fast becoming “The” place to stay for repeat guests who are fed up with the clutter of Seminyak and confusion of Kuta.
There are lots of things to do in and around Ubud so your vacation in Bali can be as busy or relaxed as you choose. A favorite of many guests are early morning walks along the many paths that zigzag through the rice fields. There are many places for the family to explore within walking distance giving you a unique opportunity to get to know the real Bali by observing the local Balinese going about their daily lives.
Not far away from the villa is the village temple which occasionally hosts colorful ceremonies. These are excellent opportunities to grab your sarong and camera and join in or simply observe and take some truly unforgettable vacation photos that you can marvel at for years to come.
Ground Floor
Entering Villa Uma through a kori style doorway brings you into the garden. To your right are the swimming pool, gazebo and main house. To your left is one of the villas three bedrooms, the garden pavilion, which is a standalone room in the garden separate from the rest of the house so nice and private, ideal for couples sharing the villa or teenagers who want some freedom.
All bedrooms have ensuited bathrooms with hot and cold water, air conditioning and ceiling fans. Linen and towels are included in the rental and these are changed as required by our household staff.
Holidaying in a Bali villa is all about relaxing and there are lots of places to sit and relax here at Villa Uma, whether by the swimming pool in the Gazebo with a good book, tucked up in the den listening to your favorite music or watching a movie on the Satellite TV or chilling out on the open terrace upstairs enjoying the endless rice paddy views. The doors to the ground floor terrace all open so you can experience the open living Bali is famous for.
Being Bali naturally there are a choice of dining areas. At Villa Uma these are inside or outside by the swimming pool. Of course most guests love sitting outside by the pool side but of course at certain times of year, usually Nov through to end of March we do get rain, with the wettest months being Jan, Feb. The rest of the year is usually filled with lovely sunshiny days.
The actual grassed garden area at the villa is quite small but enough for kids to kick a ball about in. Mostly kids tend to gravitate towards the 10 x 3.5m swimming pool for cooling off or playing games.
First Floor
As mentioned previously the terrace on the first floor is a relaxing place to sit in the early evening to watch the sun sink into the rice paddies. Grab a pair of binoculars and watch the rice farmers at work or grab your favorite cocktail and just relax.
The Master Bedroom is located on the first floor also and has lots of space and light. It is equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fan and also has its own private bathroom with hot and cold water.
